Monsters Rising
Monsters Rising is a AAA 3rd person action strategy for iOS. Play as monsters of Chinese mythology, in a bid to take over the world! Fight against humans and mythical monsters from around the world!
We wanted to build a gesture-driven game that could combine the fun tactical elements of an RTS with rewarding 3rd person action with a presentation that was colourful, fresh and unique. We chose to base our characters on mythologies & stories from around the world as many of these creatures have never been seen in games & it would enable a very cool degree of culturalization (beyond simple language translation). Plus, monsters are cool.
We built a team of 18 (at peak) of experienced & new developers to build the game in Unity.
